Isabelle Dunkeson

Artist As Healer

"Painting is a silent language that awakens
the sleeping soul. It opens the doorway to
unseen mysteries and manifests them into the
seen. Art can be revealing and healing.
Line, color, shape and content have a
sublime effect upon the artist and viewer.
These elements enter through the eyes and
fall softly on the heart. My paintings are
expressions of the heart -- a story without
words, revealing and explaining the
unrevealed and the unexplained. I feel that
each canvas contains within itself the
essence of the painting; my goal is to bring
out this essence in each work that I do."
